The Ketchum Innovation Center (KIC) opened in its fantastic new location in August 2016 after renovating the 7,600 square-foot building at 311 First Avenue, the former home of the Ketchum Post Office, and Scott USA ski pole and boot factory. With this move, the KIC continues its focus on creating a world-class incubator that will increase the number of full-time professional jobs in the Wood River Valley a that aren’t reliant on our traditional seasonal economy.
The KIC is open to new applicants looking for the most unique office space in the valley, with a mix of enclosed offices, open desk seating, conference rooms, and a large presentation area. Another important amenity includes high-speed fiber Internet WiFi, available, in large part, through a project undertaken by the Ketchum Urban Renewal Agency and Syringa Networks. This increased connectivity is a great asset to startups looking to take advantage of the best available technology and allow them to compete with entrepreneurs in larger metropolitan cities.
As well, the KIC features a 3D Makerspace, including a 3D printer and Solidworks design programs, a kitchen, and space to store bikes and skis.
To make this vision come to life, the KIC board has received fantastic support from the City of Ketchum, the Ketchum Urban Renewal Agency, a number of private donors and businesses throughout our region.
Still, the KIC depends on community support and those looking to contribute can do so by making a tax-deductible donation by using the PayPal button below or by sending a check to the Ketchum Innovation Center, P.O. Box 6452, Ketchum, ID 83340.
The KIC team thanks all of those that have made this project a reality!
