Mitch Hollins has lived in Sun Valley since 2012, following a long career in Chicago, where he was a partner in a top-tier international law firm, Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal (now Denton’s LLP). He headed the venture capital and private equity practice and was also active in the public securities practice. In the venture capital and private equity areas, he represented both institutional investors and portfolio companies. His clients included Goldman, Sachs & Co., Morgan Stanley & Co., Inc., William Blair Capital Partners, Sprout Group, Frontenac Co., the Venture Capital Division of the Investment Department of Allstate Insurance Co., and the Private Equity Division of the Investment Department of CNA Insurance Companies. In addition, Mitch was a regular guest lecturer on the legal aspects of venture capital for the entrepreneurship programs of Booth School of Business of The University of Chicago and Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University, and served as a judge in the annual Business Plan Competitions of both institutions for many years.
Since moving to Sun Valley, Mitch has enthusiastically supported efforts to stimulate entrepreneurial activity in the Wood River Valley including serving as a judge in the 2012 Business Plan Competition.
